Particle launched in 2017 as a science media brand that delivers creative, engaging, digital content designed to bring science to a digitally connected audience.
Across it all, Particle’s vision is to enthuse people about science and innovation in the world they live in and demonstrate there is science wherever they look.
Combining inspiration and innovation with a balanced perspective on the issues that matter most, Particle covers all aspects in the world of science.
Whether you are looking for a boost of creativity, professional advice from industry experts or regular bursts of insightful snippets, Particle is your go-to for staying informed and inspired.
We are insatiably curious, naturally collaborative and daringly creative. Particle exists to foster and uplift an engaged community of people bringing science and innovation into their everyday lives. We offer pragmatism and inspiration in equal measure to help create a world of inquiring minds as well as doers.
Scitech and ScienceNetwork WA
Scitech plays a critical role in connecting the Western Australian community with the world of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
Before the launch of Particle, ScienceNetwork WA was Scitech’s original science news publication with a band of loyal readers.
To keep pace with the ever-changing digital landscape; we rebranded, revised the style and relaunched as Particle. Through Particle, Scitech extends the expectation of what a science centre is and what it delivers. It also meets the challenges of now by producing shareable science stories.
Particle repositions Scitech for the future by developing a robust digital engagement channel that allows us to be innovative, agile and responsive in engaging our audience.
Particle is powered by Scitech
Particle is an independent source of news, stories and views, produced in-house by Scitech, and delivered directly to the public.
Scitech is a not-for-profit organisation that seeks to increase awareness, interest, capability and participation by all Western Australians in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Scitech is proudly supported by the Western Australian Government through the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
