Things that are dirtier than your toilet seat

Here’s a heads up for you—your body is gross, as are the things your body touches.

At a surface level, they seem relatively wholesome and hygienic. We shower, we scrub, we soak. But all that’s not enough to slough away the traces our bodies leave on the environments we inhabit on a day-to-day basis. Look a little closer, and you’ll see the squirm-inducing signs of everyday wear.

Check out these images of everyday items plucked from my own surroundings, examined under the scrupulous eye of a Dino-Lite digital microscope … and get ready to feel like disinfecting everything you own.
