National Science Week is back!

It’s livestreamed, socially distanced, and COVID-compliant – and it might just be the coolest one yet.

National Science Week technically runs from 15–23 August, but as with past years, it’s spread throughout the rest of August as well. Turns out there’s too much science to fit in just one week.

We’re so excited to check out some of the amazing in-person events planned in WA, but we’re just as excited to tune into events we’d normally miss out on from over east.

We’ve curated a few events for you below, and we’ll be keeping an eye on the National Science Week site to bring you more as we head into science week. If you’re running an event and it’s not listed yet, head over to the site to register it – and if you’ve got something weird and wonderful that you think the Particle crowd should know about, let us know.

Need some space?

A couple of our WA-based space-y favourites have amazing-sounding events coming up. ICRAR’s mixing art with science, while OzGrav are mixing virtual reality and actual reality.

Keep it healthy

Are you getting enough sun? How about enough sleep? You could take a snooze in the backyard, or come and get clued in on the latest in health science. Or why not both?
