Presented by Kings Park and Botanic Gardens

Science Seminar: Digging in the Dirt

Dr Leonie Valentine is a conservation biologist examining relationships among fauna and will be giving a talk entitled ‘Digging in the dirt: mammal bioturbation contributes to ecosystem processes’.

Leonie will be talking about the population decline of native Australian digging mammal species, over the last 200 years.

The extensive loss of Australian digging mammals has been associated with concurrent changes in ecosystems, suggesting that the health and functioning of Australian landscapes may have drastically altered as digging mammals declined.

This is a free event and no registration is required.
