Girls Programming Network (ECU)
The Girls’ Programming Network (GPN) is a program developed and run by girls and for girls. Managed by a group of female IT students from ECU, it’s targeted at high school girls interested in IT, particularly those interested in learning to program or improving their software development skills.
Running each Saturday during school term, the School of Science hosts GPN, exploring topics such as data structures to logical processes that lead to coding with Python. Each workshop is different and no coding experience is necessary as skilled tutors and workbooks will guide you through the tasks.
ECU is a member of the SAGE Pilot of the Athena SWAN charter in Australia. This initiative promotes gender equality and encourages opportunities for girls in STEM.
Free to attend, you can register for term 1, 2020, now.
